One Sevenoaks job of ours began with a new concrete foundation and ended as a cedar-clad pool building. The project also included a gym building with a lounge area, an open plan kitchen and an en-suite shower room. That spread of work is normal for us. As family-run builders in Sevenoaks and across Kent and the South East, with over 20 years of building behind us, we take on roofing, bathrooms, landscaping and full builds. We build for householders, businesses and farms alike.
Design sits in-house too. We draw the scheme, submit the planning application, prepare the building regulations pack and supply the structural calculations. Once work starts, you will see the same faces who came to quote, and the owner visits the site every week. Most trades are our own, so you have one contact instead of a string of separate firms. Enquiries are answered within two working days.
Roofing, bathrooms and landscaping are only the start. Around Sevenoaks we also take on barn conversions, period restoration and new homes, and the list below covers all fifteen services, each linked to photos of finished jobs.
Our Services
Sevenoaks sits on the north slope of the Greensand Ridge, with the Vale of Holmesdale between the town and the North Downs. Around The Vine, the cricket ground given to the town by the 3rd Duke of Dorset when he owned Knole, the earlier buildings mix brick, stucco and slate roofs. The cricket pavilion is weatherboarded, while the Methodist and Baptist chapels are built of local ragstone. Knole's medieval deer park, over 400 hectares, lies on the south-east edge of the town. Repairs and extensions here mean matching ragstone, brick and slate with care, so new work sits quietly beside the old.
Planning sits with Sevenoaks District Council, and the district is heavily protected. About 93% of it is Green Belt, and over 60% lies within the Kent Downs or High Weald National Landscapes. The town has several conservation areas of its own, including the High Street, The Vine, Vine Court, Kippington and Oakhill Road, and Hartslands. Clear drawings matter here, which is why ours are done in-house. Around the town we also cover Riverhead, Dunton Green, Seal, Kemsing and Sevenoaks Weald.
The Sevenoaks pool building is timber framed and clad vertically in cedar. Groundworks came first: a new concrete foundation, then blockwork with a DPC and a suspended beam and block floor. We also built an outdoor kitchen with cedar cabinets and white quartz worktops, laid porcelain paving around the new swimming pool, added garden steps and built blockwork raised planters finished in white silicone render. Also in Sevenoaks, we decorated an entrance hallway: walls, ceiling, staircase balustrading, risers and treads, and all the wall panelling.
Our hard landscaping reaches into the villages too. An Ightham property now has a granite sett driveway with reclaimed ragstone retaining walls and automated gates with intercom and CCTV. In Westerham we put in a gravel driveway with granite sett edgings, hung automated metal gates between brick piers and built reclaimed ragstone retaining walls.
