The bit that holds the rest of the build up.
Heritage Crest Build self-delivers groundworks across Kent and the South East — foundations, footings, drainage, service trenches and slab pours. Done by our own crew with our own kit, not subbed out to whoever's nearest.
Get this wrong and every other trade pays for it later. Get it right and the rest of the build runs to programme.
The groundworks we self-deliver most often, grouped by type. Tap any project below to open its full gallery.
Clearing a site and setting it up so the build can start: stripping scrub and topsoil, taking out old slabs, driveways and outbuildings, reducing levels, and forming the access and working areas the rest of the job runs from.

Trench and insulated raft foundations for extensions and new houses: setting out, digging to bearing, steel where the engineer calls for it, then pouring and building up to damp proof course level ready for the floor.
Featuring: Cranbrook · Wittersham New Build · Chart Sutton · Ashford · Hartlip · Kingsnorth · Benenden · Charing

The floor build up, from damp proof course to finished slab. Beam and block suspended floors on the new houses, reinforced concrete slabs on the extensions, with insulation, membranes and services all set in before the concrete goes down.

Reinforced concrete raft slabs for buildings on ground that will not take strip footings. Formwork set to level, steel mesh and bar tied in, then poured in one go and power floated to a smooth finish.
Featuring: Detling · Frittenden Annexe · Repton Manor Primary School · Ramsgate Concrete Raft

Foul and rainwater drainage for new houses and extensions: falls set out and dug, inspection chambers and soakaways built in, pipework bedded and surrounded, then tested and backfilled before the ground is made good.
Featuring: Wittersham · Chart Sutton

Treatment plants and cesspools for properties with no mains drainage. Tanks craned into a dug and blinded hole, backfilled in concrete where needed, then connected to the house and to outflow land drainage or a soakaway.

Access roads, forecourts, yards and car parks in tarmac, concrete and aggregate. Formation dug and compacted, drainage run in, kerbs and edgings set, then surfaced to take everything from cars to loaded HGVs and farm traffic.

Retaining walls, terraces and gate piers. Concrete foundations, hollow blockwork with steel bar reinforcement filled with concrete, then faced in brick, ragstone or render and finished with stone cappings, steps and paving.
